By placing an order with Compumart, you agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions outlined below. These terms contain important information about your rights and obligations, including limitations and exclusions that may apply to you.
Compumart is operated by TechIT Computers, a family-owned computer repair and custom PC building business based in Aberfoyle Park, South Australia.

Conditions of Use
This Terms and Conditions Agreement applies to any order, purchase, receipt, delivery, or use of products purchased from Compumart.
By accepting delivery of a product purchased from Compumart, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Any attempt to alter, amend, or add to these Terms and Conditions will be considered invalid unless agreed to in writing by Compumart.
Compumart may update or change these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any updates will be published on our website.
Definitions
In these Terms and Conditions:
“We”, “us”, “our”, “Compumart” means Compumart by TechIT Computers.
“You”, “your”, “customer”, or “consumer” means the person or entity placing an order or named on the invoice.
Payment Terms
All prices advertised on our website are in Australian Dollars AUD.
Unless otherwise stated, prices include Australian GST where applicable but may exclude delivery, shipping, handling, insurance, or other charges.
Payment must be received in full before an order is accepted, processed, or dispatched unless otherwise agreed in writing by Compumart.
Compumart reserves the right to invoice parts of an order separately where required.
If any payment becomes overdue, we reserve the right to charge interest on overdue amounts to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Duties, Taxes, and Charges
For orders delivered within Australia, GST is included where applicable.
If an order is shipped outside Australia, the customer is responsible for any duties, taxes, customs charges, import fees, or other costs associated with delivery to that country.
Shipping and Delivery
Compumart will arrange delivery of your product to the address provided at checkout.
Risk of loss or damage generally passes to you once the product has been delivered to the address you provided. Please ensure your delivery details are accurate before placing your order.
You must notify Compumart of any missing, damaged, or incorrect items within five 5 days of receiving your order.
Shipping times may vary depending on location, courier availability, stock availability, and other factors outside our control.
Software
Title and ownership of any software remains with the software licensor or publisher.
Your use of any software is subject to the relevant licence agreement provided by the software supplier, manufacturer, or publisher.
Compumart does not provide separate warranties for software unless expressly stated.
Cancellation or Return of a Custom PC Order
When an order is placed for a ready-to-ship PC or custom-built PC, Compumart may begin processing the order immediately.
This may involve allocating staff time, ordering or assigning hardware, preparing parts, building, testing, administration, and logistics. These steps represent real costs to our business.
For this reason, once a PC order has been placed and before it has been dispatched, we may not be able to provide a full refund for cancellation due to change of mind, personal circumstances, or any other reason.
Order cancellations prior to dispatch may be handled in one of the following ways, at Compumart’s discretion:
- The order is cancelled and refunded, less a 25% restocking and processing fee.
- The order is cancelled and the full amount is provided as store credit, which may be used on our website at a later date. Store credit may be used in one transaction or across multiple transactions where supported.
We strongly recommend that you carefully review your order before finalising your purchase.
Refunds, Returns, Warranty Claims, and Consumer Guarantees
To request a refund, return, warranty claim, or consumer guarantee claim, please contact us at:
Please include your order number, proof of purchase, a description of the issue, and photos or videos where relevant.
If a product is assessed and no fault is found, a service fee of up to $50 may apply, along with any shipping costs and any inspection or rejection fees charged by an authorised service centre or third party.
If a product is found to have been supplied in accordance with Australian Consumer Law, we may require you to pay the costs associated with returning the item to you.
To be eligible for a refund, return, warranty claim, or consumer guarantee claim, you must:
- Provide proof of purchase.
- Report the fault or issue as soon as reasonably possible.
- Stop using the faulty item where continued use may worsen the issue.
- Take reasonable care of the goods while they are in your possession.
- Return the goods to Compumart by post, courier, or in person where required.
- Ensure the fault was not caused by misuse, accidental damage, unauthorised modification, incorrect installation, or use outside the manufacturer’s recommendations.
- Ensure the product has not been lost, destroyed, or disposed of before assessment.
Where a manufacturer’s warranty applies, you should carefully review the manufacturer’s warranty terms and conditions. Compumart is not responsible for a customer’s failure to comply with manufacturer warranty requirements.
When a Claim May Be Rejected
Compumart reserves the right to reject a return, refund, warranty claim, or consumer guarantee claim where:
- The customer caused the fault through misuse, neglect, or abnormal use.
- The product was damaged by accident, liquid, power surge, physical impact, or other external cause.
- The product was modified, repaired, or altered by someone other than Compumart or an authorised repairer.
- The customer cannot provide proof of purchase.
- The product was damaged because care instructions or reasonable care were not followed.
- The product has been used in a way that voids the manufacturer’s warranty.
- The issue is caused by software, viruses, user-installed programs, settings, or data corruption rather than hardware failure.
Change of Mind Returns and Restocking
In some circumstances, Compumart may offer a courtesy return or exchange for an incorrectly purchased product.
This is at Compumart’s discretion and may only be considered where:
- You notify Compumart within five 5 days of receiving the product.
- The product is unopened, unused, and in pristine resaleable condition.
- All manuals, cables, accessories, packaging, and included items are returned.
- You accept a minimum 20% restocking fee.
- You cover any applicable return shipping costs.
Compumart may reject the return after inspection if the product is opened, used, incomplete, damaged, or not in resaleable condition.
We do not normally provide refunds or exchanges where you:
- Changed your mind.
- Chose the wrong product.
- Found the product cheaper elsewhere.
- No longer need the item.
- Were aware of a fault before purchase.
- Damaged the product after purchase.
- Cannot provide proof of purchase.
This does not limit your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
Returning Goods to Compumart
You are responsible for ensuring goods returned to Compumart are packed safely and securely.
Compumart is not responsible for goods that are damaged or lost in transit when being returned by the customer. If an item is damaged in transit due to poor packaging, warranty coverage may be affected.
If you are unsure how to safely package a product for return, please contact us before sending it.
Where a computer arrives damaged in freight or is Dead on Arrival DOA, Compumart may cover reasonable shipping fees. DOA claims must be made within seven 7 business days of receiving the item.
DOA items may be repaired, replaced, or refunded depending on the circumstances and your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
All warranty, repair, refund, and consumer guarantee claims are processed in the order they are received.
PC Warranty
Unless otherwise stated on the product page, invoice, or order confirmation, Compumart PC systems are covered by a warranty for the period stated at the time of purchase.
If your PC develops a fault during the warranty period, you may return it to us for assessment and repair.
Compumart may issue a return shipping label for eligible warranty claims. If a warrantable fault is found, the PC will be repaired and returned to you at no charge.
If no fault is found, shipping fees may apply for transport to and from Compumart, along with a service fee of up to $50.
If the fault is not covered under warranty, shipping fees and reasonable repair costs may apply. This may include parts, labour, diagnostics, and other related costs. We will discuss these costs with you before carrying out any chargeable work.
Compumart provides return-to-base warranty support for computers purchased from us. Return-to-base warranty begins from the date of purchase and applies for the term stated on the order.
Warranty assessments and repairs may take up to 14 business days, depending on the issue, parts availability, workload, and supplier response times.
Products made by other manufacturers may be covered by their own manufacturer warranty. In some cases, we may advise that a warranty claim is best handled directly through the manufacturer, as they may be better positioned to repair or replace the product.
Manufacturer Warranty
Compumart is not the manufacturer of all products sold through our website and may not be an authorised service centre for every product.
Where a manufacturer warranty applies, we recommend contacting the manufacturer’s technical support first for troubleshooting and warranty advice. This may help resolve the issue faster or assist with the warranty process.
If the manufacturer directs you to return the product to us, please contact:
Compumart PCs
Compumart may update, revise, or discontinue products and service offerings at any time without prior notice.
We will supply products with the general functionality and performance of the product ordered. However, minor differences may occur between images, specifications, brands, part models, and the final product supplied.
Where equivalent parts are used, they will be selected in accordance with industry practices and based on compatibility, availability, and performance.
Components used in Compumart PCs may include new or equivalent-to-new parts unless otherwise stated. Replacement or spare parts may be new, refurbished, or reconditioned where permitted by law and appropriate for the repair.
Software and Peripherals
Third-party products such as monitors, keyboards, mice, speakers, software, accessories, and other peripherals may be covered by the original manufacturer’s warranty.
Warranty terms and technical support for third-party products may vary between manufacturers and products.
Compumart will assist where reasonable, but manufacturer warranty processes may apply.
